This Mini device is an excellent solution for recordings, band rehearsals, and any music-related projects. Unlike a traditional splitter, Microamp HA400 has 4 volume knobs that provide easy control for each individual channel.

For decades, musicians has to create DIY connections to provide headphone outputs for everyone. But not long enough, Microamp HA400 is finally available in the market today. Affordable, beautiful, compact, and easy to use.

It took around 3 weeks to arrive after I check out from an online shop. Made an unboxing or unwrapping video. Upon opening, I was not disappointed because it was properly protected with a bubble wrap and a foam box.

It comes with a specific power supply, a US plug. If you are located in Southeast Asia, a US plug is more likely recommended or else you will receive the European power plug. Better review the variant first before trying to check out, or else it will cost more for needing to buy an adapter/converter.

With only two color variants, I like the silver-grey the most because it looks professional. Neat and tidy. That doesn't mean the black one isn't great, it also performs the same as the silver. But in my opinion, black looks cheap. I guess it is because most of the cheap China-made appliances I bought in the past are all in black color variants.

Unfortunately, the unit I purchased is without a brand. I must say the shop I clicked on is the direct manufacturer. I can tell a bit because of its quality. It looks pretty much closer to the branded one. And it came from mainland China.

All in all the device is a five-thumbs up, except for two things. Firstly, it has no main volume control or even a gain (not really an amplifier if you think so). You can't control all four channels at once. I guess the main reason is that they want to modulate volume output to protect users' eardrums.

Secondly, there is no On and Off switch. You plug the power supply directly onto any outlet and before you know it, it will spark a little then your mini mixer would turn on. The only way to see if the device is ready to use is you can see a green pilot light lights up on the lower left side of the unit.

Other than the power supply, you also need to buy a stereo cable with a TRS plug ends to connect the device from a source, whether it is from your computer, mixer, phone, or from a digital recorder.

Depending on the size of the "Jack" of the source, I suggest to buy the Stereo cable with TRS plug ends size of 1/8"(3.5mm) to a standard 1/4"(6.35mm).

We need the 1/4"(6.35mm) size stereo plug end obviously as it is the one fit to the available jack size mounted on the device (HA400) and a 1/8"(3.5mm) size stereo plug end for the source devices I mentioned. Just in case the source jack is a 1/4"(6.35mm) size also, then you need to buy a TRS plug converter to make it work.

Note: TRS is also called PL plug end in the Philippines or in other words PL male plugs.
